One of the things we have to do in life is change and be willing to change. This time in New York City, Becca and I wanted to do photo shoots in the middle of random neighborhoods. This shoot took place by NYC FIT’s dorms and outside their museum.
Becca was not the most comfortable in front of the camera, but she eventually grasped the feel of it. A lot of times, God allows us to experience new things to push us out of our comfort zone. It is super healthy to try new things because this gives us an open heart to the newness God can bring in different seasons of our life.
Also, when you try new things, do not be afraid. And even if you are scared, face that thing—as simple as that. You have to know that fear is only in the mind. Fear is only a mind state that will keep you from growing. In order to grow, you will have to face challenges with the best foot forward. Continue to push. Do not let your mind keep you from the next.
Trying new things. Today, I challenge you to do something you have NEVER ever done. Whether it is trying a new food, lifting 5 more times the weights you lift at the gym, or even trying to learn how to paint and you aren’t artistic, try it. You never know what boundaries you are pushing just by trying.
